With the iOS 27 redesign, artists can style their own Apple Music page. Here are the logo specs, the review timeline and the list of things Apple will reject.
Apple Music has handed artists control over how their pages look. With the redesign that arrived in iOS 27, the plain artist name can be replaced with a custom logo, the buttons can be recoloured, and one release can be pinned to the top. All of it is done from the Apple Music for Artists web dashboard.
Logo: file requirements
The logo is a text-based image that matches the artist name. Not cover art, not a graphic mark, not a slogan.
The specs:
- PNG with a transparent background, because the logo sits on top of other artwork
- at least 2880 pixels wide or 960 pixels tall
- template size of 3000 × 1200 pixels
- the logo should fill the template as much as possible and reach either the height or the width of the minimum size area
- no solid black: bright, white, or dark logos with contrasting outlines work best
Apple provides a template with the safe area marked out, and it is worth starting from that file.

Where to upload it and how long it takes
In the dashboard: Artist Content, then Artist Page, then Choose Logo in the Artist Logo section. Review takes up to five business days, and the logo sits in Pending the whole time. If it gets rejected, you can fix the problem and resubmit; Apple points artists to support for an explanation.
The logo can be submitted by the artist through Apple Music for Artists, or by a content provider, meaning a label or a distributor, through Apple Music Connect.
What Apple will reject
- pixelated, low quality or mismatched logos
- album cover art and QR codes
- marketing copy, third-party logos, any text other than the artist name
- borders
- website URLs, email addresses, social media handles such as @artistname
- references to competitors and misleading names
- the words "Apple Music", "MUSIC", "iTunes" and the Apple logo
One rule stands apart: Nazi symbolism restricted by section 86a of the German criminal code. If a logo carrying it reaches Germany, Austria or Switzerland three times, the artist's entire catalogue is suspended in those three countries for up to six months.
Button color and pinned content
The Info, Play and Favorite buttons are white by default. In the Button Color section you can pick one of the suggested shades or type a custom hex value. The preview shows up immediately, and the colour reaches Apple Music within a few hours.
Spotlight pins one item to the top of the page: an album, a music video, an artist playlist or Apple Music Radio content. It only works for releases where you are listed as the primary artist, and to find a specific version you can paste an Apple Music link into the search field. The pin runs for up to 18 months from the day you submit it.
